individual therapy

Individual therapy is a one-on-one conversation with a trained therapist, designed to help you explore what’s going on in your life, make sense of your emotions, and build skills to handle challenges with more confidence. It's a judgment-free, confidential space where you can be honest, feel heard, and work toward the goals that matter to you.

You don’t need to be in crisis to start therapy. Many people come to therapy to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, improve their relationships, boost their self-esteem, or simply have a safe space to discuss their thoughts and feelings.

Common reasons people seek individual therapy include:

  • Anxiety or stress that feels overwhelming or hard to manage

  • Depression, sadness, or loss of motivation

  • Life transitions like starting college, changing careers, or moving

  • Low self-esteem or self-doubt

  • Relationship challenges with partners, friends, or family

  • Grief or loss

  • Healing from trauma or past experiences

  • Personal growthwanting to better understand yourself or set meaningful goals

  • Burnout or feeling stuck in patterns that aren’t working anymore

Every session is tailored to your needs, and we might draw from tools like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, or other evidence-based approaches—depending on what works best for you. You deserve support as you grow into the person you want to be. Therapy can be a powerful part of that journey.

Family therapy is a type of counseling that helps family members improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their relationships. It’s based on the idea that challenges don’t just affect one person—they affect the whole family system.

In family therapy, a licensed therapist works with some or all members of the family to explore patterns, understand each person’s perspective, and support healthier ways of relating to one another. It’s not about blaming anyone—it’s about working together to create understanding, healing, and change.

Families may come to therapy for a variety of reasons, such as:

  • Frequent arguments or tension at home

  • Parenting challenges

  • Major life changes (divorce, relocation, loss)

  • Mental health or behavioral issues affecting one or more family members

  • Communication breakdowns

  • Supporting a family member through addiction, illness, or trauma

Sessions provide a safe, structured space where everyone can have a voice and be heard. The goal is to build stronger connections, resolve misunderstandings, and help the family function in a healthier, more supportive way.

Couples therapy

Couples therapy is a type of counseling that helps partners improve their relationship by working through challenges together with the support of a trained therapist. Whether you're dating, engaged, married, or in a long-term partnership, therapy can offer a space to strengthen your connection, navigate conflict, and build healthier communication.

Couples often come to therapy for reasons such as:

  • Ongoing arguments or misunderstandings

  • Lack of emotional or physical intimacy

  • Communication difficulties

  • Trust issues or healing after a betrayal

  • Life transitions (parenthood, relocation, career changes)

  • Feeling disconnected or "stuck" in the relationship

In sessions, the therapist works with both partners to understand patterns in the relationship, create a safe space for open dialogue, and offer tools to support more effective communication, empathy, and teamwork. The goal isn’t about taking sides—it’s about helping the relationship grow in a way that works for both of you.

You don’t have to wait until things are “bad” to start therapy. Many couples use it proactively to deepen their connection, improve communication, and stay aligned through life’s ups and downs.
